Coldworthy Writers Guild is a group of local authors that have come together to celebrate writing and friendship. They enjoy writing and embrace diversity. It is this friendship and love of writing that led to the Coldworthy Writers Guild.
Featured author Chester Black
One of the founding members of the group, Chester has written poems as a way of self-expression. He has also written poems inspired by family, friends and co-workers. His poems are mostly lighthearted.
It was suggested that he put some of them together into a book. He decided to try and illustrate his poems himself. He now has two books; “The Duck Farted” and “Poems to Share with Someone You Know”.
While reading his poem "My Little Rubber Ducky" to a group of young people, a four-year-old said, "The duck farted". All the other children laughed and said, "Rubber duckies don't fart, it was the kid in the bathtub." To which the four-year-old said "Oh, yea." and joined in the laughter. Thus, the title of the book.

The Duck Farted Reviews:
Kyle: “As a father of 5 kid, potty humor is always a hit. This book gives me lots of new material to keep them all rolling.”
Ben: “Exactly as described. A series of clever poems in various forms (Haiku, Limerick, etc.) My 3- and 5-year-old find everything related to farting funny, so it’s a nightly favorite.”
Alex: “My elementary school kids both think the poems in this book are hilarious, we read a couple with bedtime stories most nights.”

Chester's Second book is about family, friends and coworkers. He is sure that you will recognize a few people you know in his poems and feel compelled to share them with them. Thus, the title "Poems to Share with Someone You Know"
Chester has been told the Poem "(You Know Who) Prayer" should be "Ann's Prayer." or "John's Prayer" many people recognize a coworker in that poem.

Poems to Share with Someone You Know reviews:
Jessika: “Like seeing all your friends in written form.”
ZB: “I shared this book with my family, and they all loved it! Many of the poems remind them of people they know. It’s a great blend of funny and heartfelt pieces.”
Advanced user: “Worth the read and something I will rotate on my coffee table for guest to enjoy.”
